Case Study: 238 UK Landmarks, 22 Local Photographers and Delivered in 16 Weeks.

The Creative Vision

When Santander set out to refurbish branches across the UK, they wanted each location to reflect its local community through meaningful, regionally relevant photography. Over a 16-week period, I led the commissioning and production of a nationwide campaign that brought this vision to life.

Working with 22 professional photographers based across the UK, I directed the capture of over 238 local landmarks, each selected for its relevance to individual branches. These images featured as large-scale Welcome Wall artworks in the newly refurbished spaces, helping connect Santander customers to the places they live and work.

Why Use Local Photographers?

Sourcing local talent isn't just convenient, it's a smart strategic move: faster, more agile productions without travel delays, valuable local insight, and a lower environmental footprint.

Leading Multi-Photographer Campaigns with Consistency

Delivering this kind of campaign requires more than just creative direction, it demands hands-on coordination, attention to compliance, and the ability to lead a team of contributors to deliver a unified result.

From briefing and scheduling to permits and approvals, I managed the full production lifecycle to ensure brand consistency, on-time delivery and on budget across all 238 images.

Permissions, Permits & Risk Assessment

Because the imagery was intended for use within a major bank, the project required careful planning and, in some instances, permission to shoot & feature:

  • Relevant permissions were obtained for all properties featured.
  • All images were licensed for commercial use as artwork within a financial institution.
  • I ensured every photographer was briefed and aligned with the desired visual tone.
