Scaling production shouldn’t dilute craft.
It should protect it.
Production isn’t just about delivery. It’s about making considered decisions early, building the right structure around the work, and ensuring creative ambition, timelines and budgets hold under pressure.
I’ve spent over 15 years leading global production across campaigns of varying scale and complexity, working with photographers and creative teams across multiple disciplines, from documentary and portraiture to sports, lifestyle, and commercial brand work.
What follows is a selection of work focused on production strategy, budget management and multi-location delivery, and how each was structured to achieve the strongest possible outcome
Campaign Production | Sport | Multi-location
The Brief
Deliver a Wimbledon-associated campaign from a loose creative scamp, with remote direction from Dubai, restricted court access and the added unpredictability of early spring weather in the UK.
Strategic Approach
The production was restructured to separate environment and talent capture. Court backplates were photographed on location, while the athlete was cast and filmed in a controlled studio environment.
Casting was broadened beyond professional tennis players to include high-performance fitness talent, ensuring the right physicality and movement for the campaign.
This approach reduced reliance on location access, mitigated weather risk and maintained control of schedule and budget.
Outcome
Delivered on time and within budget, while preserving the intended look and feel of the campaign.
Leadership Scope
Led all aspects of production, including casting, location sourcing, shoot structure, risk management, health & safety and usage rights

Campaign Production | Commercial | Multi-location | Stills & Motion
The Brief
Deliver a multi-location campaign across stills and video within a 10-day production window, with no margin for delay.
Strategic Approach
Production was carefully scheduled across four shoot days to maximise efficiency and allocated spend.
Casting focused on real people rather than traditional talent, aligning with the brand’s positioning whilst ensuring reliability and performance across both stills and motion.
Locations were selected to feel geographically non-specific, whilst remaining practical from a production and budget perspective.
Outcome
A cohesive set of campaign assets delivered within a compressed timeframe, maintaining consistency across all outputs.
Leadership Scope
Full production leadership, including casting, locations, permits, crew coordination, RAMS, budget management and usage rights.

Creative Production | Commercial | Budget Management | Location Strategy
The Brief
Create a series of travel images representing multiple global destinations within a budget of approximately £12k.
Strategic Approach
A location-led approach was developed to recreate international settings within the UK.
Through careful casting, styling and framing, distinct environments were achieved from rural Kent through to London-based locations, each a replication of different global regions.
This allowed the campaign to achieve a sense of scale without the cost and complexity of international travel.
Outcome
A visually diverse campaign delivered within budget, enabling the client to move from stock imagery to a bespoke image library.
Leadership Scope
Oversight of the full production process, including locations, casting, crew and budget control.

Global Campaign Production | NGO | Sensitive Content | Accuracy-led
The Brief
Produce a campaign depicting healthcare in conflict zones, where accuracy and credibility were essential.
Strategic Approach
Worked closely with documentary photographer Tom Stoddart and a former ICRC war surgeon to ensure each scene reflected real-world conditions.
Scenarios were carefully constructed, with close attention paid to clinical detail, appropriate equipment and environmental accuracy.
Outcome
A considered and credible campaign, balancing sensitivity with the practical realities of production.
Leadership Scope
Full production direction including casting, set builds, specialist collaboration, on-set management, timelines, licensing and budget reconciliation.
