Originally hailing from the southern beaches of Sydney, Australia.
Grant spent most of his adolescence doing what he is passionate about: surfing, travel and taking pictures with the humble camera obscura.
Coming from a long line of seafaring heritage, his grandfather a World War II navy veteran and father a marine mechanic, Smith was bound to forge a career coinciding with mother nature.
Smith’s love of the ocean and nomadic outdoor adventure has shaped his photographic style which is considered to be cinematic, conceptual and narrative lead.
Best known for his ability to form an instant rapport with his subjects while shooting portraits, which is evident in his work, formed of both digital and film.
Grant resides in London, UK. When he’s not taking pictures he can be found surfing aboard or falling over in London skate park.
