"I received an email simply enquiring about my availability and if I was interested in a potential shoot, which had to be completed before the end of April. I replied back confirming I was keen and had the time to sort the shoot out and if they could send me more information.
Once they did and I realised the scale of the project, I immediately thought I need some help with this. I had met Pam a few years before and her attitude and personality had really resonated with me, her relaxed but no nonsense approach really stuck with me and I had no hesitation to get her on board from the start.
Once I had run through what was needed, she grabbed it by the horns and got on board with the whole production. The first port of call was the quote. She constructed a very detailed and concise outline of the costs and fees involved, covering a lot of areas I may not have considered. Plus, having a producer put this together for you always looks better in the clients eyes.
Pam’s legal knowledge was invaluable in sorting out the contract and amending it where necessary, clarifying the usage and ownership of the final images and making sure I was not underselling myself. We also encountered a number of issues with insurance, which when dealing with large shots can potentially leave you with a scary liability, but thankfully having a legal minded brain to sort this made it plain sailing.
Pam took on a lot of the production for the job and made my life so much easier, so all I had to really think about was how to shoot everything. She did all the form filling and paperwork and took a massive weight off my shoulders. I would not hesitate to get her in on another shoot, she was also great fun to have on set".
